Course Overview
Hi everyone. My name is Jeremy Jarrell and welcome to my course PgMP - Engaging Your Stakeholders. I'm a Pluralsight author and mentor who helps teams deliver great products. Did you know that many perfectly executed programs will still fail simply because they don't deliver what their stakeholders are expecting? In this course, we are going to learn the importance of investing in your relationships with all of your stakeholders so you can ensure that the outcomes your program delivers are those outcomes that your stakeholders need the most. Some of the major topics that we will cover include: how to identify the key stakeholders of your program as well as how to better understand the interest and the influence that each stakeholder holds over your program. You'll also learn concrete strategies for growing and fostering your relationships with each of your stakeholders. And you'll learn how to nurture these relationships so they can continue to provide value throughout the execution of your entire program. By the end of this course you'll know how to create and grow strong relationships with each of your stakeholders so you can count on their support when you need it the most. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn how to build strong relationships with your stakeholders with the PgMP - Engaging Your Stakeholders course at Pluralsight.

Engaging Your Stakeholders Successfully
My name is Jeremy Jarrell and welcome to Engaging Your Stakeholders Successfully. Part of the PGMP Engaging Your Stakeholders course of the PMI PGMP learning path. In this module, you'll learn how to create a plan for engaging with your stakeholders in the most effective manner. As well as how to ensure that this plan is adjusted to best meet the needs of each stakeholder, and you'll learn how to measure the engagement of your stakeholders so you can identify disengaged stakeholders before it's too late. In the last module, you learned the importance of engaging your stakeholders throughout the entire execution of your program as well as how to identify those stakeholders with the likely hood to exert the greatest influence on your programs outcome, in fact, stakeholder engagement is such an important topic that proper stakeholder engagement can often mean the difference between the success and the failure of your program. But how do you know if you're engaging your stakeholders successfully? Engaging your stakeholders successfully starts with defining the best strategy for interacting with each of your stakeholders based on their specific needs as well as their relation to your program. By first considering the best approach to each of your stakeholders, you can increase the likelihood of a positive engagement between your stakeholders and your program as well as accelerate the building of trust with those stakeholders which can be critical for the continued success and support of your program should your program encounter points of difficulty along the way. However, this trust can only be built through regular and effective engagement with your stakeholders throughout your programs entire execution. For this reason, it's important to invest in building this trust with your stakeholders early, because if you wait to begin building that trust when you need it, it will be too late.
