Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Jason Alba. Welcome to my course Prioritizing Tasks and Managing Time for Greater Productivity. I run a website called jibberjobber. com, which is a software as a service model for job seekers and people who are passionate about networking. We're all interested in being a little more productive, right? Why is it that we try things to make us productive, but within a few weeks we're back to our same old habits? That's one of the challenges that we're going to address in this course. We'll talk about tactics to manage your time, tactics that you can really implement and actually use. We'll talk about prioritizing your tasks so that you are working on the most important highest return tasks first and moving away from working on things that you really shouldn't work on. The end result of these tactics is higher productivity. Implementing some of these tactics might give you marginal productivity improvements, but I've seen some of these tactics greatly increase the productivity of many people. By the end of this course, you'll know what you can do to greatly increase your own productivity. From there, continue your learning by diving into other soft skill courses like Becoming a Better Listener and How to Get Your Next Promotion. I hope you'll join me on this journey of improving your career and your productivity with the Prioritizing Tasks and Managing Time for Greater Productivity course at Pluralsight.

Introducing Core Time Management Fundamentals
Welcome to the Pluralsight course Prioritizing Tasks and Managing Time for Greater Productivity. My name is Jason Alba. I'm the CEO of jibberjobber. com, which is a CRM for job seekers, and author for Pluralsight. I love talking about anything related to your career, soft skills, and professional development. By the time you're done with this course, you should have a much better understanding on how you can prioritize your tasks and projects better and manage your time all with the purpose of increasing your productivity.

Benefiting from the Power of Prioritizing
In this module, we're going to talk about the power of prioritizing and the benefits that we can get from really prioritizing the things that we need to do. By this point, you get time management. You understand what it is and how you can better manage your time. However, you still feel like you're putting out fires. You seem to be in reactive mode all the time, which is a stressful place to be. How can you feel more peace because you're in control? That's what we're going to talk about in this module. I think it all comes down to making sure that we're working on the things that we need to be working on instead of things that are really busy work or just filling the time. I'm not suggesting that you like doing busy work or just filling time, but how do you know that you're working on the right things first?

Becoming More Productive: Prioritizing + Managing Time
In this module, we're going to talk about becoming more productive because of prioritizing and time management. By this point, you have a good understanding of time management. You also are already prioritizing your work based on a system that you've created that works for you and that you can sustain. We're going to talk more about tactics and techniques with time management and prioritizing all with the end purpose of increased productivity. Let's get started.
