Getting the Most out of the Windows 10 Creators Update
Welcome to this series of clips focused on the Creators Update for Windows 10. Now the Creators Update was released in April of 2017, but with so many millions of devices running Windows 10, it was intended to be a gradual release, so there's a lot of devices that still don't even have Creators Update on them. How do you know if your if your device is running the Creators Update? Well probably the easiest way to check is to right-click on your Start button down in the task bar, from the Power Users menu, select System. Now your system information will either be presented in the Settings app or in a Control Panel applet. If you're looking at the Settings app, then congratulations, you have the Creators Update to Windows 10. Now as the name implies, there's a focus on adding tools and features to make it easier to create with Windows 10. Just consider some of the new apps that were introduced with this feature update. We see a Mixed Reality Portal, View 3D, and a Paint 3D, and these are all targeted to designing 3D objects, and they're useful for mixed reality, holograms, holoLense, and they can be used by a wide variety of people. You can also expect to see layout changes, so for example hamburger menus have disappeared in a few apps in favor of tabs. Now just remember that app updates are always possible, so things like layout and the location of menus can be changed at any time with an app update, but many of the core apps were updated to coincide with the Creators Update to Windows. In this series we're going to look at new features, we're going to look at tools, and some of the new apps, as well as expanded abilities to Cortana and Edge. I'll do my best to point out these new features, and how they can affect you as we go through this series of clips on the Creators Update to Windows 10. Thanks for watching, and I look forward to seeing you in the next clip.
